City of Coronado Beach Use Permits

From the City of Coronado 8-24-12:

Information on the City’s new beach-event permit policies has been provided to more than 30 event coordinators and suppliers. City employees, in their capacity as event “concierge” staff, will begin working with permit holders in September. Part of their concierge duties includes being present during any permitted beach events. There appears to be some confusion about the new policy with regard to who is required to obtain a permit. Those beach events, including weddings, with fewer than 25 people and no equipment — such as arbors, chairs and podiums — are exempt from the new policy, including any fees or permits associated with it.
